The Alliance was created to help people on the autism spectrum and their families. The Alliance will offer social/activity groups for youth, teens and adults.

Our children come into our families every way possible, including private adoption, adoption through the foster care program, kinship, and international adoptions. Together we have created a wonderful network of beautiful families who help each other navigate the exciting, complex process of adoption.
- Maine Kids-Kin - Maine Kids-Kin assists extended family members who are stepping in to care for a relatives child(ren). The family member may be a grandparent, aunt, uncle, sibling, cousin or good friend of the family. The children may be in the relative's care, or the relatives may be working towards that goal. Grandfamilies is a term for families headed by an extended family member: grandparent, aunt, uncle or other relative. We are proud to servce Grandfamilies throughout the state of Maine.
- Maine Parent Federation - The Maine Parent Federation, Inc. is a statewide private non-profit organization that provides information, advocacy, education, and training to parents and professionals to benefit all children. We promote individual aspirations and community inclusion for people with disabilities. In existence since 1984, MPF is physically located in Augusta Maine, but assistance is available on a statewide basis.
- Maine Training State of Maine Rules require a single Family Foster Parent to obtain at least 18 hours of training per 2-year license period. In two-parent Family foster homes, the secondary foster parent needs to obtain at least 6 hours of the above 18 hours. Training for Family Foster Parents must be related to the needs of the children in foster care and approved by the foster home licensing worker. A single Specialized Foster Parent needs to obtain at least 36 hours of training per 2-year license period. In two-parent Specialized foster homes, the secondary foster parent needs to obtain at least 12 hours of the above 36 hours. Training for Specialized Foster Parents must be related to the needs of children in foster care with moderate to severe needs.
- Maine Wildlife Park - The Maine Wildlife Park is located on Route 26 in Gray, Maine. The park is open 7 days a week from April through November 11, 2006. The gates open 9:30 AM and close 4:30 PM. All visitors are asked to leave the park by 6:00 PM. The park offers special events throughout the season.

- The National Foster Parent Association (NFPA) - The National Foster Parent Association is the only national organization which strives to support foster parents, and remains a consistently strong voice on behalf of all children.
- National Alliance on Mental Illness of Maine (NAMI) NAMI Maine has been providing support, education, and advocacy on behalf of people with mental illness and their families since 1984. For more information on NAMI Maine's support groups and about NAMI Please click on the Support drop down box. Support groups are available across the state, our help line responds to thousands of calls each year, and we provide education about mental illness and co-occurring substance abuse issues to all who need it. We work locally and state-wide to make sure that people with mental illness and their families can find the help when and where they need it.
- Southern Maine Parent Awareness SMPA is dedicated to providing information, referral support and education to families who have children and youth with special needs throughout Maine.
- UMA Bangor Dental Hygiene Clinic Through its Dental Hygiene program, UMA Bangor offers a low-cost dental hygiene clinic to the public from September until April. Services are provided by UMA Bangor dental hygiene students under the close supervision of faculty.
Volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) - Volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) are everyday people who are appointed by judges to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children. A CASA volunteer stays with each child until he or she is placed into a safe, permanent and nurturing home
- Youth Leadership Advisory Team (YLAT) Maine’s YLAT is a dynamic group of young people and adult partners from across the state working together to make sure that youth in care have the best possible experience. We believe that this partnership has a powerful role in improving foster care experiences for all youth in care in Maine. YLAT members passionately seek to improve outcomes for youth in foster care with a sense of duty, on behalf of all future youth who will come in contact with the system.

Maine offers comprehensive training and technical assistance, outreach, advocacy and skills building grounded in the knowledge and experience gained over three years developing and implementing Thrive’s youth program in the Tri- County region. Youth M.O.V.E Maine supports the development and transition of youth ages 14-25, as well as provides trauma-informed, youth-guided and culturally and linguistically competent training and technical assistance to agencies seeking to engage youth in all aspects of organizational development and service delivery. Youth M.O.V.E. Maine receives support from the national System of Care, Maine Children’s Behavioral Health and the Thrive Initiative’s committed youth team
